8th January 2017: Health Careers, Australia’s leading provider of healthcare education and research, has signed an agreement with the Government of Kerala, within the KASE (Kerala State Academy for Skills Excellence) program, that will see the Australian based educator develop the skills of nurses as they prepare to pursue careers in India and internationally.
In partnership with the Government of Kerala, Health Careers will establish the KASE Global Nursing Leadership Academy in Cochin, Kerala. The Academy will offer a Nursing Career Advancement Program (NCAP), which is an internationally developed advanced study program for nurses that will upgrade their knowledge, skills and competence.
Speaking at a signing ceremony on December 7th in Thiruvananthapuram, Health Careers CEO and Managing Director Bijo Kunnumpurath noted the importance of life-long learning in improving patient care and health outcomes.
“We are pleased to be joining hands with the Government of Kerala to form a long-term sustainable relationship to develop the skills of youth from Kerala. The KASE Global Nursing Leadership Academy will be a centre for world-class training and Health Careers is proud to partner with KASE in this exciting venture”, said Mr Kunnumpurath.
“The demand for skilled healthcare professionals is on the increase around the world, and advancements in medical technology have created the need for focussed training for the future health workforce to develop best practices in healthcare”.
Enrolments have already commenced for the first NCAP (Nursing Career Advancement Program) which will commence on February’17 at the KASE Global Nursing Leadership Academy in Cochin, Kerala. Health Careers is also offering placement assistance for students that successfully complete the NCAP program for jobs in leading hospitals and clinics in the Middle East, Asia, Australia and Europe.
